Leaving Tineo
The route today and tomorrow
Falcons or hawks or eagles flying above our lunch stop.

We left Tineo after 9 am after finding an open cafe for coffee and I then used my best Spanish to procure our lunch. Pointed at a tray of prosciutto rolls and said "dos (2) por tarde (for later, I think), por favor (please). She wrapped them individually in tinfoil with a serviette each👍and we put them in our insulated lunch bag.

A decent climb to start the day. We reached the top at 11.15 a bit chilled and damp. It was 10° when we left Tineo but the temperature dropped as we climbed. Put on something warmer and had a picnic, that's when we saw the falcons. There were about 6 of them circling overhead.

An equally challenging descent but from there a moderately flat walk. We were grateful that we are only doing half sections and had stopped yesterday before the rain. We could see from the state of the track today that it would have been unpleasant walking in the heavy rain of the afternoon and evening before.

Arrived at our albergue in Campiello at 2 pm. Two restaurants in the small town but neither doing dinner. We bought a uncooked pizza and bottle of vino at the store not realising that the albergue didn't have an oven. We had to be inventive. Two minutes in the microwave and then into a large lidded pan on the hob until hot and cheese melted. We were grateful for the meal and the vino helped.

In a sixteen bed bunkroom tonight so hopefully will get a good sleep. Eye mask and earplugs help. Tomorrow on to Pola de Allende.

Some little people we saw as we made the steep climb out of Tineo.

Looking back to Tineo.

Coming into Campiello

A good days walk.
