London to Leamington Spa via Oxfordshire

Went into the city on Wednesday evening to have dinner at Sky Gardens which is on the top floor of a highrise building with great London views. Recommended by Stefan. When we got there we were turned away by security as the whole place was closed for a private function (not mentioned on their website). Lots of pubs etc. nearby which were overflowing with bankers and financiers in their corporate suits etc. (Not sure what a Friday evening would look like as this was only Wednesday after work). Thursday 3 October Picked up a rental car from London Victoria Station and negotiated our way through central London traffic to pick up our luggage from the hotel and then on to Kew Gardens. The gardens are large but a bit disappointing. Possibly due to it being early autumn. The food options there were dreadful. Drove up to stay the evening at Chequers in Cassington a small place near Oxford. Hotel owners were very welcoming and the food was excellent. A small village atmosph

Tuesday: Paris Eurostar to London Visited Notre Dame in the morning. Then caught the Eurostar late afternoon to London with Patrick, Emma and George. Waiting for Eurostar boarding. Wednesday: London Staying at the Central Park Hotel in Bayswater. Had a morning walk in Hyde park then met Megan, Alex, Liam, Louise and Finn at the Northecote pub in Clapham for lunch. Hyde Park

Paris Monday -Disneyland

7.45 gathering for breakfast before train to Eurodisney which opens at 10.00. A full day leaving at 6.30 after the evening grande parade. Star Tours adventure. Emma appeared on the on screen as a rebel princess. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain roller coaster. This ride was not for the faint-hearted. Look at Addy and Teresa's faces. Mad Hatters teacups. We are filming Gramps, Addy and Tessa. Dinner at an Italian Pizza place near our hotel. The waiter kept the children amused.

Saturday Early start to catch the first metro at 5.30. Rush to airport to find flight delayed 2 and half hours by fog. Arrived in Paris at 3.00 and got the Le Bus direct to Eiffel Tower then 10 minute walk to Hotel Yooma to meet Patrick,Emma,George, Pauline, Kirsty,Stefan,Addy,Tessa and Caleb. Met at local cafe about 5.30 everyone was hungry so ate early. Had an early night as it had been a long day for us. The rest went out later for dessert. Sunday The others visited Eiffel Tower then we walked to Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee. Managed to avoid any purchases! Cousins in Paris. Tessa with her new car. Not quite Abby Rd. Took an hour Seine cruise. Dinner out on a rainy night
